UAUIM 2020 | Diploma Project

This diploma project proposes the conversion and extension of a former textile factory and canteen building in Kelsterbach, near Frankfurt, into a technological museum. The site, part of the Enka-Glanzstoffwerk textile industry area, is influenced by its proximity to the Frankfurt Airport. The project integrates the building with its surroundings, aiming to increase cultural activities in an area dominated by logistics and airport services. The museum showcases exhibits from three major industries: Enka-Glanzstoffwerk (nylon production), the chemical plant Industriepark Hoechst, and the Frankfurt Airport.
